Our work in the education sector enhances outcomes such as maximising safeguarding, accomplishing true inclusion, improving behaviour, minimising absenteeism and therefore boosting attainment. In addition, the cross-curricular nature of this subject ensures maximum tangible return on investment for key stakeholders.

With over 90% of head teachers and teachers in primary and secondary school being white there is a blind-spot in educating and caring for children of other ethnicities whilst also cultivating children who are racialised as white to be anti-racist. It’s understandable to feel concerned about doing or saying the wrong thing but with support from OK To Be CIC these barriers can be greatly reduced.

Our courses provided practical suggestions and interactive exercises aimed at truly understanding the impact of transracial teaching. Ideal for teachers, senior school leaders, governors and support staff alike. Addressing issues such as teacher bias, adultification bias, anti-Blackness, colourism, assimilation,  and microagressions, amongst many others.
